Taking care of the people who take care of his business is important to Helmi Felfel, owner of Planet Suzuki. Building on a reputation for integrity, the only authorized Suzuki dealer in Charlotte is one of the top-selling dealerships in the country.

When it came time to select a place to hold his company’s Christmas party, Felfel wanted to look “outside the box” and to offer something different for his staff. “We’ve done the usual, restaurants and bowling, and were tired of doing the same old thing. We wanted to provide a unique and exciting experience for our employees and their families that would be much more enjoyable,” he said.

To create a festive and enjoyable experience for his team, Felfel turned to The Range at Lake Norman and its event coordinator and owner, Tricia Sisson. As she does with every corporate and private event held at The Range, Tricia created a package that was custom designed to exceed Planet Suzuki’s expectations.

Planet Suzuki guests enjoyed shooting on The Range’s state-of-the-art shooting lanes, while experienced Range Safety Officers were standing by to provide assistance as needed. “Initially, we were somewhat concerned about some of the employees and their families who had never shot before,” Felfel says. “But The Range staff worked with them and helped them achieve a good comfort level. Ultimately, they had an incredible time and some were even better shots than the more experienced shooters,” he said with laugh. Guests also spent some time in the The Range’s law enforcement training simulator before retiring to the members’ lounge for snacks provided by Bouk Catering.

Tricia Sisson stated, “Our staff goes out of the way to provide a first class experience for our corporate customers and all of our guests.  This event, along with other corporate and public events, helps us get word out in area that The Range is more than just a shooting range, it’s an inviting gathering place for businesses and individuals.”

Felfel agrees: “It was fantastic and something that we’ll definitely do again. Everyone truly had a wonderful time. Employees got to experience shooting an M4 rifle, a Thompson sub machine gun, as well as a Desert Eagle 50 caliber pistol. What a blast!”

The Range at Lake Norman is one of the newest travel and tourism destinations serving the Lake Norman area.  The Range has had the opportunity to provide employees of local and national companies with a state of the art facility for recreation and corporate events.  Employees of local companies such as Ingersoll Rand, Joe Gibbs Racing and Financial Independence Group are regular customers of The Range at Lake Norman.  The Range has also hosted corporate events for Dell Inc, Lake Norman EDC, Visit Lake Norman, Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, Cyan Partners out of New York City, and Planet Suzuki.
